Club Rules

1. Mat & Footwear

•No shoes on the mats.

•No bare feet off the mats (especially in restrooms).

•Bring sandals/slides for off-mat use.


2. Hygiene

•Wash gi/rash guards/shorts after every class.

•Shower before training.

•Keep nails short and clean.

•Do not train if you’re sick or have a skin infection.


3. New Students

•Must check in before class.

•Waiver + registration (trial, drop-in, or membership) required.


4. Safe Training

•Train with control.

•Be aware of your partner’s safety.


5. Respect the Tap

•Stop immediately when a partner taps or submits verbally.

•Tap early if you’re caught.

•Training is about safety, not winning.


6. Restricted Techniques

(Blue belts / 2+ years only)

•Heel hooks, knee reaps, neck cranks 

No-Gi only.

•Knee bars, toe holds, wrist locks, calf/bicep slicers

Gi & No-Gi.

•Always apply with control.


7. Banned Techniques

•Scissor takedowns (Kani Basami)

•Body drops (Tani Otoshi)

•Corner reversal w/ head outside (Sumi Gaeshi)

•Jumping guard/back mount

•Flying submissions

•Slams

•Pulling a kneeling opponent backward

•Any striking (during BJJ classes)

•Bending fingers/toes

•Biting, pinching, hair pulling, eye gouging

•Fingers in orifices
